- Short: Rename long filenames containing ()?#*
- Author: Daniel Westerberg (deniil@algonet.se)
- Uploader: Daniel Westerberg (deniil@algonet.se)
- Version: 1.0
- Type: util/cli
-
- This program is a complement of C:Rename.
-
- It's purpose is to rename files without using pattern
- and thus also rename files containing special characters
- such as ()#?* correctly.
- Useful when you are using Workbench or a version of
- DirOpus that cannot handle long filenames and the
- AmigaDOS rename neither works because of special characters.
-
- And ofcource it handles files with spaces, use "" as usual.
-
- Usage:
- Ren <sourcefile> <destinationfile>
-
-
- If you're looking for a more powerful renaming tool, take
- a look at util/misc/MultiRen! This will be out in a couple
- of weeks.. (Today it's 99-06-26)
