  7. This program is a complement of C:Rename.
  8.  
  9. It's purpose is to rename files without using pattern
  10. and thus also rename files containing special characters
  11. such as ()#?* correctly.
  12. Useful when you are using Workbench or a version of
  13. DirOpus that cannot handle long filenames and the
  14. AmigaDOS rename neither works because of special characters.
  15.  
  16. And ofcource it handles files with spaces, use "" as usual.

  18. Usage:
  19.   Ren <sourcefile> <destinationfile>
  20.  
  21.  
  22. If you're looking for a more powerful renaming tool, take
  23. a look at util/misc/MultiRen!  This will be out in a couple
  24. of weeks.. (Today it's 99-06-26)
